Cringer is Prince Adam's pet, a green tiger known for his cowardly nature. In the 1983 animated series, when Adam becomes He-Man, he transforms Cringer into a brave armored green tiger named Battle Cat. Battle Cat serves as He-Man's steed and fighting companion. He-Man could use his sword to give other friends, allies, and animals power and enhanced abilities as well. Cringer is one of the few characters who knows He-Man's secret identity, alongside Orko, Man-At-Arms, and the Sorceress.
